I've been online since the early 90's, starting with bulletin boards and FidoNET. I helped setup and run a bulletin board in college, and was active in the local BBS community for many years, until the Internet took off and replaced them. I manage our home network, which evolved from Netware 2.11 to IP over the years and includes Linux-based servers, Cisco and Dell switches, and various other pieces of networking equipment.
