Location: Black Diamond | Washington
Speaking Topics: Beginning with Linux | Maintaining Lists and Message Boards | Using IRC | Using the Internet for Research

I've been online since the late 80's, when it was bulletin board systems and FidoNet. From there I found Usenet, and mail lists, and then the World Wide Web! What a great invention that was; linking texts togethers, and then pictures! Now it links PEOPLE together. The web has become a great place to connect with others sharing common interests, and has become invaluable to researchers. As I've discovered new things, it has been delightful to draw others into participation also. The web and social networking aren't just for the young, or the wealthy -- the resources are there for all of us.
